Oleg Moiseyenko

Born in Russia in 1968, Oleg Moiseyenko's earliest photographic experience came from observing the magnificent scenery of high-mountain worlds while traveling with his parents, geologists. His formal education (Masters in Mathematics and Computer Science) and passion for discovering new places lead him to the US, where he settled in 1999, working as an IT professional. He feels that traveling and experiencing various cultures is a tremendous source of informal education.

Still working in the IT industry, Oleg classifies his interests in photography as an obsession. He recognizes that determination and dedication are required to succeed in the field of professional photography. He is certain that some day he would be able to dedicate most of his time to his passion.

Oleg enjoys studying the history of 20th century Russian and Soviet photography and admires works of Prokudin-Gorskii, Karl Bulla, Alexander Rodchenko, Evgeny Khaldei, Victor Ahlomov, Valery Gende-Rote and other famous photographers of his country. He also feels a connection with and studies the works of the "greats" - Henry Cartier-Bresson, Bradford Washburn, Ansel Adams, Eugene Smith and Robert Capa.

Oleg is an active member of several photographic societies: the Princeton (NJ) and Newtown (PA) photo clubs, and the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP). His work have been exhibited at the Trenton City Museum, New Jersey and others juried shows and contests. Presently, Oleg resides with his wife, Irene, and daughter Anastasia in Plainsboro, New Jersey.
