We are planning many interesting meetings during our
2009-2010 season, including color, black & white and digital print
presentations. Return to this calendar for further announcements. And
please join us at our meetings!
Meetings take place on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7:30 PM,
September through June.

Relating to Nature: A discussion of the ways in which different photographers use the photographic image to reveal their relationship with and/or understanding of nature.
COMMENT:
I am attracted to the manner in which specific photographers relate to nature — how they approach it and represent it in their imagery. By analyzing the wide variety of nature images I have collected during the past 28 years, I have acquired a better understanding of my own complex relationship with the natural environment.

In anticipation of the storm that is threatened and follows closely on the heels of the last, The Johnson Education Center, will be closed Wednesday, February 10.
I am sending notice that the Princeton Photography Club meeting scheduled for Feb. 10th will therefore be cancelled. Even if the roads were somehow miraculously cleared, there would be very limited parking without access to the circle drive or the lower lot -- certainly not enough for our large meeting.

"VISION QUEST" - Igor Svibilsky, a Princeton photo club member, presented and talked about his recent work, that was created using low quality and custom built lenses that helped him to concentrate on shaping his artistic vision rather than technical aspects of the images. his career, from breaking news photographer on the streets of New York to
9.11 to his life afterwards, photographing restaurants, chefs and celebrity
portraits.

The Princeton Photography Club’s second meeting of the season, on October 14th 2009, features guest speakers Andy Schmitt and Eric Kunsman.
Andy Schmitt is the Head of Photography for Peters Valley Craft Center.
Eric Kunsman is an adjunct faculty member at the Rochester Institute of Technology, along with teaching workshops and lecturing internationally. He is the former coordinator of photography at Mercer County Community College. His photographs have been exhibited internationally and are in several prominent collections. He received his MFA in Book Arts/Printmaking from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He also holds an MS in Electronic Publishing/Graphic Arts Publishing, a BS in Biomedical Photography, and a BFA in Fine Art photography, all from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York.
